Sole Surviving "Zepped" (Chaplin, 1916) Found No Buyer at Auction

In 2009, Morace Park saw an interesting old film tin on eBay and paid the equivalent of $5.00. The collector later identified as the film as the sole surviving copy of Charlie Chaplin's 1916 Zepped. It was up for auction last night at Bonham's Knightsbridge auction house in London, but it failed to entice a buyer.

64 Films Saved by NFPF Grants

The National Film Preservation Foundation awarded 36 institutions grant monies that will save 64 films, ranging from With Allenby in Palestine and Lawrence in Arabia (Lowell Thomas, 1919) to Saul Landau's Fidel! from 1969.
