Paramount's VP of Preservation and Restoration Talks Breakfast at Tiffany's

For over 20 years, Ron Smith, Paramount Pictures Vice President of Preservation and Restoration, has been ensuring that some of the world's most beloved and cherished films and TV series receive the clarity and care that they deserve. His latest efforts were focused on the transfer for the Audrey Hepburn classic, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and its new 50th anniversary Blu-ray release

Public Religion Research Institute launched a new website at www.publicreligion.org that features a searchable survey question archive, developed in collaboration with the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of Connecticut, one of the world's leading archives of social science data.

The new Anarchist Archive online resource launched earlier this month, building on collaborative efforts among Dr. Allan Antliff, Canada Research Chair in Modern Art, and the University of Victoria, MacPherson Library Special Collections and Archives.

Twilight Time Acquires Columbia Library Titles for Blu-ray

Twilight Time, a specialty label which focuses on releasing vintage films previously unavailable on DVD, has struck a deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to license and release classic films from the Sony-owned Columbia Pictures library in high-definition Blu-ray editions.

Archivists reclaim 2 silent PH films ‘pirated’ by US; film fest opens Friday

For years, members of the Society of Filipino Archivists for Film (Sofia) have been investigating whether an American B-movie titled “Brides of Sulu,” released in 1934, was actually two Filipino silent films “reedited and assembled together.”
