Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Foundation tries to rescue, restore and re-popularize tiny, damaged or forgotten movies that are in danger of being lost forever. He's teaming up with distributor B-Side Entertainment and the movie-screening website TheAuteurs.com to showcase some of them, in some cases for free. Still, Scorsese acknowledges that attracting fans will be a challenge. "There's going to be someone out there who's going to be affected by them," he says. "And if we hit one out of 100 or one out of 1,000, we've done something."
