The Reel Thing XXII opens tonight with a reception and the premiere screening of the digitally-restored Walt Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first full length animated feature film, and the first of the Disney animated classics. Snow White was also the first American film to have a soundtrack album released in conjunction with the film. The film received a special Academy Award® in 1939 consisting of one full-size Oscar® and seven dwarf Oscars, all presented to Walt Disney by Shirley Temple.
